In the splendid scenery of the Fossanova Abbey the bride and the groom can make their wedding day a unique and unforgettable event, they will feel part of another world, of another period, embraced in extremely beautiful environments and witnesses of great spirituality. A magical place filled with a wonderful sensation of transcendence which will definitely make your promise of love even more pleasant. It is the ideal place for civil and religious ceremonies.

Day 1

Arrival in Rome, pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel on the Ulysses’lliviera. Welcome drink and meeting with our assistant to discuss the details. The programme will be given to you. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Breakfast in the hotel. Leave for a visit to the magnificent Casamari Abbey with its cloister, a splendid chapter house, a refectory, library, art gallery and an ancient pharmacy where nowadays, like the past, distilled herbal drinks made from old recipes are still produced. Back to the hotel for lunch, free afternoon. Dinner in a typical restaurant and if you wish, for a Bachelor Party.

Day 3

After breakfast the bride and groom get ready for their wedding. Pick up and transfer for the ceremony at Fossanova Village, enclosed in the unique architecture of the amazing Gothic-Cistercian style Abbey. The entire monastery, characterized by a plain but pompous elegance, can be seen in any corner of the village. The main building is made up of the church and the cloister which is surrounded by the refectory, the capitulary room, the monk’s sickroom and the guest room where Saint Tommaso D’Aquino died in 1274. In the area outside, the lay sisters’ sickroom, the guest rooms and the remains of the pi Ig rim s’ home all stand out. In this wonderful scenery we can organize weddings all year that can be either a civil rite in the San Martino Castle or a religious one in the Abbey. The wedding luncheon can be organized in the garden with the menu and the setting of the season with bunches of wild roses, lavender and jasmine and the tables set in white with spotless ribbons, tobacco and light pink tablecloths or farm sack material; or at the Bakery that will be decorated in white with ribbons and little flowers, a floral wreath on the bride’s head and magic all around…Return to the hotel in the evening, aperitif and food tasting on the terrace overlooking the sea. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Breakfast in the hotel. Relax on the beach in the morning or pick up in the hotel for a shopping stroll (depends on the season). Back to the hotel for lunch.

Guided tour in the afternoon of Terracina, a town ofVolsci origin that still has numerous remains of the Roman and Medieval era. Its centre is called Piazza del Municipio (the CityCouncil Square), it was built on an Emilian forum.Visit to the historical part of the town and to Jupiter Anxur’s Temple. Return to the hotel in the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Departure after breakfast to visit the Garden of Ninfa which is beautifully set in what Gregorovius called “Pompei of Medieval time”: a splendid and wild garden full of ruins of antique buildings and famous churches. It lies on the banks of a unique lake made by streams that come from lake Ninfa, its water reflects a medieval tower (Caetani Castle). The Botanic Garden has plants from all over the world. Lunch in a restaurant. Afternoon visit to the Abbey of Valviscolo, the Knight’s Abbey, tied to a Medieval legend that goes back to 1314 when the last Knight’s Gran Maestro was sent to the stake, the beams of the church bent. Nowadays, if you observe carefully, the beam on the main door is cracked. On the inside the crosses are studded with gems and the mysterious symbols will reveal the square magical arcane of SATOR. Return to the hotel in the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Fiumicino Airport.
