A Fairy Tale Wedding

On the banks of the Tyrrhenian, at the bottom of spectacular cliffs, the Gulf of Gaeta is set. Harmony of colours, of landscapes, of monuments, it’s a place where past has left its landmark. Getting married in this magical Gulf will seem a dream. And… their can’t be a wedding without a castle!

Day 1

Arrival in Rome, pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel on the Ulysse’s Riviera. Welcome drink and meeting with our assistant to discuss the details. The programme will be given to you. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Departure, after breakfast in the hotel, to visit Sperlonga which is a small Medieval town with beautiful white houses. It is full of lanes, archways and steps, an authentic film set which seduced celebrities like Andy Warhol, Luchino Visconti, Brigitte Bardot, Albert Camus, Raf Vallone and Arthur Mil ler.Vi sit to the historical part of the town and to the National Museum with its archaeological area dedicated to the remains of the magnificent Villa of the Emperor Tiberius that was decorated with sculptures of Homeric subjects. Return to the hotel for lunch, afternoon free. Dinner in a typical restaurant and if you wish, for a Bachelor party.

Day 3

After breakfast the bride and the groom get readyfor their wedding. Pick up and transfer to Castello Miramare for the wedding ceremony. Amongst the sweet fragrance in the gardens the bride and the groom will pronounce “I do” in a magical atmosphere. The guests will taste the delicious refined food either in the splendid party hall or on the romantic panoramic terrace so they can get a spectacular view of the Gulf, or in the exclusive gazebo overlooking the park. Return to the hotel in the evening , aperitif and food tasting on the terrace that overlooks the sea. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Breakfast in the hotel. Relax on the beach in the morning or pick up in the hotel for a shopping stroll (depends on the season). Return to the hotel for lunch.

Afternoon visit to Formia, a seaside town identified by the legend as the city of the giant Lestrigoni mentioned by Homer in the Odyssey. Visit Cicero’s tomb, along the Via Appia, and to the medieval district of Ca stellone with its Roman water tanks: a majestic structure dating back to the 1st century BC considered one of the four biggest water tanks in Europe. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Departure for Minturnae after breakfast, it is a roman city thought to be one of the oldest centres in the lower part of the Lazio Region. It is located in the outlet of the Ga rig liano River on the border between Lazio and Campania. Dating back to the Roman period is the Aqueduct, the theatre, the Forum with its Temples, the walls and the Amphitheatre. Even nowadays as you walk along the Appia Antica that goes through the archaeological area observing the remains of the shops and the alleys you can feel the atmosphere of the Roman age. Return to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon visit to Geata, a very old city which was part of the Repubblica Marinara and the last Bourbon rampart. A precious site is the medieval quarters and the Sanctuary of the Montagna Spaccata (split mountain) named so , according to legend, because of the crack caused at the peak by an earthquake which occurred at the moment of the death of Christ. Return to the hotel in the evening, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Fiumicino Airport.
